Oil change quotes near Khalifa City are all over the place

[charlesxavier]

I've been calling around for a simple oil and filter change and the quotes range from almost suspiciously cheap to what feels like a premium dealer price, all for the same basic job. I don't understand what's driving the difference, is it the oil they use, the filter quality, or just how much they think they can get away with charging? I'm near Khalifa City so I've been looking into Affordable car repair and servicing in Khalifa City, but I want to know what actually matters here. Does the brand of oil genuinely make a difference or is it mostly marketing? And is it worth paying more at a place that seems more professional, or am I just paying for nicer waiting room furniture? I'd rather understand this before I book anywhere.
