Hey guys, how’s it going?
I’ve recently bought a 1991 Toyota Hilux with a 2.8 Daihatsu Fourtrak engine conversion, and I’m trying to sort out some of the wiring. I’ve got a few questions:
If anyone has a wiring diagram or has previously completed this conversion, any advice or photos would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!
I’ve recently bought a 1991 Toyota Hilux with a 2.8 Daihatsu Fourtrak engine conversion, and I’m trying to sort out some of the wiring. I’ve got a few questions:
- What colour is the original oil-pressure sensor wire on the Hilux side?
- Which wires from the original Toyota external voltage regulator need to connect to the Daihatsu regulator/alternator, and which colours correspond?
- What colour is the main wire feeding the engine-bay fuse box, and should it be connected to a permanent live or an ignition-switched live?
- What colour is the Hilux dashboard coolant-temperature gauge sender wire?
If anyone has a wiring diagram or has previously completed this conversion, any advice or photos would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!
