Hi everyone,
I bought a 1996 3.0L turbo diesel surf a few months ago and it’s given me so many problems. Recently got a cracked cylinder head and mechanic is saying it needs a $20,000 rebuild as it has worn bores and needs a new radiator too. I can not afford that and am wondering whether I should do a partial fix (cylinder head, radiator and clean out bores) to get me by or just sell it. It still runs but mechanic made me tow it home with half the engine in the boot after I said I didn’t want a rebuild just yet. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
