  • new surf. and my experience with ALGY'S AUTO'S

It's been a long, long journey, but this week the new truck arrives. still waiting for a registration from DVLA , but after 7 months, i will finally get to see what i have bought.
i had been looking for several months, nothing in the country really took my attention, well over priced, some highly dubious mods, and i really wanted a clean slate.
checked out a few import companies, but when i found the same trucks on the Japanese auction sites, i saw the ridiculous mark up these places were putting on the price.
being a former member, i was aware of the sticky thread about ALGY'S ,but made some inquiries anyway. All due respect to those concerned, but i totally disagree with what is being put out there.
In my experience, they were incredible helpful , highly professional, and went out of their way to get me what i wanted, and to be honest, i would, and have, recommended them to several people.
i told them what i was looking for, what my budget was, and within 24hrs , i had several options sent to me.
this is what i went for in the end. always liked the white ones, wanted an auto, and wanted the best spec, low mileage 3RZFE i could afford.

Well, it's finally on the driveway!
must say i'm really pleased with it. exactly what it looked like in the pictures from the japan garage, and the import company. the garage that Algy's use for the registration process, did an excellent job with the undersealing and waxoly that i asked for, and i also got them to respray the wheel arches ,which had a few scuff's and paint fade on them. not cheap being pearlesant paint ,but it has totally transformed the look.
had a mobile valeting company come out and steam clean the engine bay , there was some oil from a leaking rocker cover gasket that needed doing. for £60, it's hard to imagine that it's a 25 year old engine bay with 98k miles on it.
stocked up with all the new oils and service parts ,mostly genuine bit's, and i'm now waiting for the reg plate from dvla , so i can get the work started. going for the full big service on her.
