  • Wheel spacer advice

Hello all, new member, very recent Surf owner. I bought a 1992 Hilux Sirf a couple of weeks ago, very pleased with it so far. I’ve done some bits and pieces to tidy it up, restored the paint a bit, a good machine polish etc, adjusted the seat rails to suit my taller stature. Today I picked the car up from a wheel powder coating place. I’d given them a set of 30mm spacers to fit when the wheels were done, they said they don’t fit. I’ve had a good look at them myself, the dude was very apologetic and explained what was going on.
I can either return these spacers or have them machined out to work, but I wondered if anyone had a recommendation for hubcentric wheel spacers? Plenty of studcentric spacers available, Milner, RoughTrax etc. But I would prefer hubcentric. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Managed to work it out. For anyone with the same model, hubcentric 30mm spacers work on the rear, the front hub is around 36mm deep and won’t accept hubcentric spacers. Something to do with the 4wd mechanism in the hub. A 30mm shim spacer should be used on the front, which leaves 6mm of the hub poking out allowing you to locate the wheel safely and not rely solely on the studs. I used the hubcentric spacer I had, and had the inner lip machined off so it essentially became a studcentric spacer.
