Toyota Hilux Surf Gen3 Wheels & Tyres

Hello all,

I believe my 1998 Toyota Hilux Surf Gen3 is meant to have 15" wheels. But currently has 16" Toyota Land Cruiser Colorado wheels on it.

Would Toyota Hilux Vigo 15" wheels fit ?

Toyota Hilux Vigo 15" wheels have this marking J 15x7J 30

I have no idea what the wheel off set is for the Surf.

I've looked on some tyre websites, typed in the car regisration and I am getting some sizes...

255 / 70 / R15 and 265 / 70 / R15 T 110


These look a good fit.

But I have no idea what the wheel off set is for the Surf.

Can anyone help ?

Pretty sure the 3rd generation were 16". Second generation was 15". 15" rims will probably not clear the calipers.

The 30 will be a +30 offset. Second generation were a 15" rim with a +8 offset. Can't remember the offset of the Third generation but will try to find it.

The j and the jj on rims is important as well. It's where the tyre bead fits and jj is the better. If you google this it may provide you with better information.
