  • I'm getting logged out of the Forum all the time..

    ...and it's really frustrating.

When I log on I always click the 'remember me' check box, but despite that nearly everything I do results in having to log back in. This is especially frustrating when I've spent five minutes writing a new thread or a reply and then when I submit it I have to log on again and everything is lost.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem - I guess it will just be a browser problem, but any help would be much appreciated.

    Many thanks,

    Rob

Check security settings in your browser and any firewall settings etc, add the site as a trusted site [www.yotasurf.co.uk , www.hiluxsurf.co.uk] and I've also decided to allow site popups.

Try adding the forum as a trusted site and check your cookies.
Open the forum and go to tools, internet options then select the security
tab then sites and add the forum address. Then select the privacy tab and
make sure the slider is set to medium.
This seems to have solved the problems for others who have experienced
          these problems.
Its to do with the cookie settings, if its not set right on your pc the
forum can't read them so keeps asking you to log in again.
You may need to delete your cookies first.
The above has worked for people with a similar problem, if the above don't
          work let me know

              Progress Update...

              ...Hi everyone,

Thanks for the plethora of suggestions.

I've tried adding the sites to my trusted sites list, but my browser will only allow me to add secure http entries, i.e. https://www.hiluxsurf.co.uk. Tried adding these anyway and they didn't make any difference.

Checked my cookie settings and these were already higher (less restrictive) than suggested.

However, following on from some other posts I've checked my Firewall and Pop-up blocker settings and have added the sites in there as well.

I'll see how I get on - If you don't hear from me again on this subject then we can safely assume it's fixed!

Thanks once again for everyone's assistance - that's what makes this forum so good.

Adding https://www.hiluxsurf.co.uk won't help as it doesn't exist.
On the screen where it warns you about only adding secure sites, there should be a checkbox you can untick to allow non-secure sites to be added.

Yes unckeck the box that says require server verification for all sites, it will work with http://www.yotasurf.co.uk and do the same for http://www.hiluxsurf.co.uk

                  Cheers
