  • N130 to manual conversion

I got a surf that inherited some time ago, it got a 1uz in it. But its automatic.
I'm thinking to make it manual. Keeping the ability to be 4wd.
I was thinking to have the 5 gear as same came with,
or use a 6 gear one of a land cruiser, would this be possible with the latter?
I'm guessing that I will need to do something with electrics.
any help will be Great, many thanks

Is this one of the Vince Lexurf conversions?

    I have one (Lexurf VIII)

I'm no expert but from my understanding the transfer box on those is from the surf, and that's the bit which does 4wd. The gearbox (auto) is from the Lexus so it'd be the Gearbox you'd need to replace and keep the transfer box so you can still have 4x4.
    Thanks

Hi, hope you are keeping well,
not one of his, doe he helped with the wiring.
I'm thinking that if the manual gearbox bellhousing fits, or need an adapter.
wish Vince could answer my messages.
      lost his number as well.

And search for cartune company nz for his other vids.

Don't know about 6speed but a 5speed should be easy to fit.

Yes, finally got in here. Sorry for troubles with the forum Rob.
got a gearbox a manual of a 4runner 5 gears, just need the cables, bellhousing, clutch kit.
need few more bits, like rear prop, and gearbox support but those bits I located them , just waiting for the lad to post them from Scotland.
at same time I'm changing colour for San Marino blue ( it comes in bmws M5 series i believe) with accents in black.
doing loads of things at same time.
someone in South of Ireland is sending me adaptor plate, and necessary bits to fit an 112 Eaton. ( that will be last thing to be done)
so for now clutch kit, bellhousing is the priority
