Hello everyone,
I have inherited an old 2003 5L-E Hilux, and it's got a stonking great exhaust on it that sounds, in my opinion, terrible. It's LOUD.
I want to swap it to something else, and my research suggests that on these non-turbo models, larger exhausts swap low end grunt for more power at the top of the RPM spectrum. Is this correct? It certainly feels that way.
She could definitively do with more low down power, and if a smaller exhaust does that and gets rid of some of this racket, then that's what I'll do.
Can anyone confirm?
