    hi all.
had my 2.4 ssr-g surf 4 months now.
do you think i am ready for some modifications yet.
not been off road yet, unless you class parking the surf in field next to local village fete.
    got alloy wheels. back spoiler.

whats next. and not too expensive this side of xmas, or new wife will blow a gasket. ( can handle my dearest's gasket just, but not my surf)

Depends how much you can spend really, £200 for a basic lift (new springs and shocks) plus winding up the torsion bars on the front would be a nice place to start (not that I've done it on mine as I have to transport my mother in law around in the car sometimes so she needs to be able to get in it.

You could take off the running boards - good mod for off roading if you don't need them (please see above) and it doesn't cost anything.

Mind you if you do the lift then maybe you'd want bigger tyres (maybe 33s) and maybe some new funky wheels to go with them.

Oh my this could get expensive.

Best bet is just to enjoy it before christmas and then warn the bank manager afterwards.

Surf is one of the best around even stock.

Just for the record mine has very few mods, Disconnected the EGR valve, Bonnet Guard, Roof Rails, Thule Roof Basket, new double din stereo, PDA Holder for my Ipaq GPS, Grill mounted fogs and driving lamps, thats about it.

          Cheers
