Not surf related but .........daughter passed test a month ago..fantastic!bought herself vauxhll corsa ok! 1 month later her boyfriend buys and fits a new cd player great! first night her car alarm goes off every hour all night narked!
any idea if these 2 things are related or how to fix?

Maybe he took the wrong live and battery is draining. Some alarms set off by drop in battery. Park it outside boyfriends house till fixed

er... are the bolt cutters for the battery lead, or the boyfriend?

Vauxhall Corsa should be an ISO lead on the head unit... which means it should be only live whilst the ignition is on.... there should only be a small trickle to keep the memory in the head unit.


Check the alternator is charging the battery and that the alarm isn't doing the same... because they will chirp once the voltage is too low in the battery...

usual questions, do the dashboard illuminations dim when the stereo is on... do the interior lights seem a little dim... is the cranking a little anaemic...

Does the alarm go off during the day when the car is in full view ?
just a thought cos its not unknown for thieves to set alarm off so that eventualy the alarm is switched off
