    Adrian Flux....

...tinted film- it's not a consideration in our schemes only engine and suspension mods.

    Guess who got the business.....
Does Adrian Flux insure nationwide or is this a local firm?

Adrian Flux made their name insuring petrolheads in big yank muscle cars - I insured my Camaro through them when I had it. They are a bit slow responding but they are good.

          Cheers

            Thanks for all your replies.
Have decided to ditch Direct Line (couldn't take the risk with the luck I have).
All Tesco wanted to know was that they let in 70% light. They didn't ask what kind of tint.

              Nice one Nige

At least you will be happy knowing that you have now got the right cover for your Surf (should anything happen that we ALL hope doesn't happen but in this day and age you never know what might happen and its always best to have the right cover just in case something does happen)

                Hi All,

How can the companies complain about rear windows when they insure vans???!!!

Even with the tints I get to see out of the SURF in all directions. I can see nowt out of the van metal panels.

When I got the tints done I was advised by the tinting company to have only a light smoke tint on the front windows and that apparently is all the police are interested in. A friend had his all done dark which looked great in the daylight but he ended up scared it drive it at night because it was like Russian roulette at junctions.(tints got changed)

A couple of times at night I noticed it was hard to see reversing so you simply wind down the rear window. Simple!

                Phil...

Yeah legally the only ones that are involved are the windscreen and the front side windows. As far as the law is required you can paint the back windows with blackout paint if you like, there is no requirement to see out of the back window as long as you have wing or door mirrors.

However insurance companies never were ones to stick to the letter of the law if they have a get out that allows them not to take a risk on something they don't understand.
