surf- black smoke stopper??????????????

some one on ebay selling A BALL BEARING ? and details of were and how to fit this in a min, to stop the black smoke rushing out of exhaust?

whats all this about then people? says no need to touch the ERG.

I read on one of the Australian Surf sites that they put a ball bearing in the pipe of the EGR, instead of disconnecting it.
