What can I say ? Great weekend , although Jon and Steve will confirm I lost the plot a bit on Saturday afternoon/evening . The coldest night I have ever spent in a car !!

The best result of the weekend is the amount of money raised by the 3 Surf/4 runner teams as a group we made a great contribution to the £50,000 + pledged .

The co-drive in Wales on Sunday was brilliant and the secenery fantastic .Jon never let me drive his Surf but I did move it 100 meteres down a queue of traffic when he went to the loo !

And yes, most Paj owners are kn*b heads.
Thanks for the donations and posts of support.

Now I don't want to laugh, 'cos it looks like he/she has spent some cash on it...

But, did something break cos they were doing something excessive, or are we talking about normal l**d**ver reliability?

they should have stuck to running the rovers, instead of fixing land rovers
                    it's in me shed, mate.

Only a rear half shaft seal leaking . I would have kept going as not a major prob as long as you know it may have wetted the brake linings , and just watched the braking . To be honest they arrived at the overnight sleep at 4.30 am and may well have been exhausted and felt they just did not want to carry on .
I believe they had the vehicle recovered by RAC to the final rest over point so they could join us in the presentation awards , and then got recovered home by joining AA for the rest of the way (just wot I heard).

Well done Guys. Really makes me want to get out there and do something, even if its not for charity. But that makes it all the better. Never thought a Surf with so many stickers on it would look so cool!

Well done all the teams. Looks like quite a navigational challenge- the sort of thing I like. Might be tempted to raise another another Surf team entry for next year. We need to add some competition and knock the LR teams off the top!
