Well done Rob, The 3rd gen won't get a look in once you've got it sorted!

It's amazing how economical the 3Y is, just a little sluggish though.

Are you gonna get them Jim. I always wanted to restore one of these. Have you done much research into costs. Very tempting.

Ament thinkin of cost Derek, fixing one of these Cruisers up is all about fabrication ..... thats why I'm doin a welding course every Wednesday nite. Now if I just had my own gas welding plant at home then I suppose thatd cost a fair packet. Theres a fella not too far from you on the Comer road in KK who has 2, ones a LWB version the others an SWB but has been scavenged for parts. Hes lookin for 450 for the LWB, I'm supposed to be goin down to see it Saturday but I'm not sure.

I have been lusting after a BJ for ages but talking about Landcruisers...........

Theres an american guy with a web site. When people ask him why he runs a Toyota he says, "It's a Jeep thang." They just look really sturdy and the sort of truck that cost over a years salary when I was a kid.
                    It's only a hobby!

I juct came accross your thread by accident and noticed on of the cruisers had an add on the rear windoe for my local fuel company.
I am concidering a restoration of a similar BJ 40
                      How did you get on.
