  • Many Thanks To All Forum Members

Hey everyone. Just a quick one to say thanks very much for everyones help and advice. We have now purchased our first surf and we are well chuffed with her. Had a hell of a journey to collect her as we live in inverness and we got her from stanstead.
We must commend everyone on their knowledge and helpfull ways. This site is probably the most informative site i have seen online yet and i dont just mean for surfs i mean in general this is an amazing site.
Im sure we will have many more queries in the future but as we are learning more each day we may be able to answer some questions soon.
    Thanks again EVERYONE.
Heres a wee pic of our beauty. Only thing missing is bull bar or a bar, what do you think would look better on her?
Picy no1 is living proof that surfs are gold and mine is now a pot of gold!!!!!

Wouldn't bother with a Bull-Bar - that's a pretty good looking Surf as it is.

Curious about the front grille - never seen one like that before - is there any detail on it ?

Nice Surf mate and the best colour too. Dont spoil it with a bar etc the bumper and grille are more or less unique, so display them as much as you can.....IMHO
What you have got to do now tho, is mash your fog light and as a bonus, do the reverse light in too, once thats done, you're a pukka Surfer.

looks like you picked up a beauty.....Only attached a bull or a-bar if your going to go off-road otherwise leave her as she is

missed the reason for selling...I would have sold my left leg to keep that beauty

Nice Surf & good pics- keep em coming.

Like the non-standard front bumper- has it got a stainless exhaust too?

                Very nice!

The only front bar I think would work with your bumper is a very small A bar. I've seen them on other 4x4s, they only come up a little way, and wouldn't obscure the very nice bumpers, but would provide some protection if you off-road.

Now, don't forget to update your vehicle details.

I am going to check just now for a possible answer to this next question within the site but i will also mention it as im here. Going to use the dial up excuse.
Went off on rarely used track (day of piccies) bit rugged but not slippy as such and had her in 4wdL, she ran fine but when i came on here and read some i think i may have used the 4wd in error as now when i go on full lock im getting a bit of a clunking sound moreso on right lock. OOps. hope its cheap to fix weve no cash left in surf fund. So be prepared for a big sale on e-bay of houshold Troch! (Junk to the lowlanders)

                      Hi,

Nice truck, now about your knocking noise, check your bump stops - if you search here you can see where to place the odd blob of grease (or 4).

That should just be some large globs of grease on the steering stops... if that doesn't fix it, it might be a little more expensive...
