probably about 50mph combined impact to the head, i doubt if he lived to tell the tale, even if he was 'trying to inflict pain on others' (how do you know thats what he was doing) he still does not 'deserve' that, if he was your son or nephew or brother or friend or whatever you would probably change your tune. you get people even on this site who would 'mess someone up' for hitting a cat without stopping, yet a poor kid gets this horrific accident and its acceptable or funny, well i dont think so......i hope you are right slug, i hope he has just a few scars to show off to his mates.

Just read the comments on that page. There is a forum chat a few months after the event. Just some stupid stunt that went very wrong. Apparently the kid ended up in Hospital for a month... plenty of reconstructive surgery... and can't remember much about it.

Lets just say, he won't do it (or anything like it) again.

Ouch...
