  • FAO Anyone in Coventry

My Surf has broken down in Coventry and i need it repairing as a matter of urgency. Does anyone know of a trustworthy garage who would be able to go and collect it and do the work without totally fleecing me please?

    Otherwise i'm knackered.

    Paul.

Turbo appears to have gone. Is this a common problem and how much for a new one?

You maybe able to drive the vehicle home to Leeds with no turbo pressure as will just be overfueling . As long as oil is not leaking from turbo into engine via the knackered turbo . Take A roads , not motorway .
          Just my opinion.

You're unlikely to find any garages that know much about Surfs in particular. I would look in Yellow Pages for a diesel engine specialist in your area.

Try giving these guys a ring to see if they can fit it in or reccomend someone else:

I know that one of the mechanics there owned a Surf once- and they did some of the work and servicing on Bundubasher's 4Runner before he went to Zimbabwe with it.

Thanks guys, i have got Marky to send me Stevo's details and i will try him first.Failing that i will give douglass motors a shout. Fro talking to my mate it appears that oil is getting into the engine via the turbo and causing masses of blue smoke.

Black smoke is usually unburnt fuel . Oil is usually blue smoke .
