  • how big can i go ?

Just picked up these Jap split rim alloys I got them of a bloke who had imported a new hilux pickup and did not want to trash them off road but I am not keen on the tyres.
the size of the tyres fitted are 215/ 80/ 15 Bridgestone dueller I am presently running on 16 inch 3rd gen surf wheels so I want to know what is the biggest all terrain or off-road tyre I can fit without any problems of rubbing I don’t want monster truck tyres but I do want to go big and fill the arch and make up for the drop down in size from 16 inch to 15 I don’t mind if I have to fit wheel spacers I hope this makes sense as I haven’t got a clue when it comes to tyre sizes

only trouble is that the 15 inch rims won't clear the calipers on the front of a 3rd gen!

um... not really... BIG spacers?... depends on the offset they've got but if you look behind the 16's you'll only just get your fingers between the brake calipers and the rim.

Looks like a bad day just got worse or well if they don’t fit they don’t fit and that’s that I should recover my losses as they are brand new they owe me £390 so as long as I get my money back no worries

should do... all the jap 4x4s seem to have the same stud pattern.
probably still worth offering them up to see how far out they are?... but i'm 99% sure they won't go on.
