does anyone know if the 2.4lt prado engine is the same motor as the 2.4 surf

The 3.0 engine in the later prado (the 78 series not the 90 series) is the same as the UK 4Runner being the 1KZT (not the 1KZTE).
So 2.4 Prados are the same as the later EFI 2.4 Surfs and the 3.0 Prados are different than the Surfs which have the 1KZTE but the same as the UK 4Runner with the 1KZT.
