2.4 or 3.0

I have been offered a lovely looking surf that the sellers say is a 3.0ltr how ever i have seen advertised as a 2.4 and i was wondering if there was any way of telling the difference

All 3.0's have 3.0 on the tailgate, 2.4 have no engine size, just the SSR etc bit.

Also, on the 2.4 the Turbo is on the top of the motor, on the left hand side, but on a 3.0 is down lower and you can't see it easily.

Drive it, you'll notice the difference!

Look on the plate under the bonnet.

Look at the V5 document (which you of course are doing as part of the purchase aren't you?).

On the 2.4 there'll be chunks of flesh all over the back of the rad from the poor divil who changed the cambelt (if he did change it)
