Got my second short motor this week, the right one this time. today torqueing down head, first stage when there was a loud bang. Damn snapped the bolt. Pulled bolt out all still intact. Must have stripped thread then. thoughts of a 3rd engine another 10 days crossed my mind. Took head off again and found that this hole had been helicoiled, no problem with that apart from it was 17mm down the hole and the bolt only protrudes 18mm.
Anyway getting another helicoil and an inserting tool sent down to put another on top .
No Surf now for 7weeks getting withdrawal systems.
Less than impressed.
