    Stupid question i know, but if i have no turbo light on my 3ltr 1993 and dont hear or particularly feel turbo cutting in, How do i know if its working or how can i check it? Car runs perfectly, just curious.
    Dumb and Dumber, you aint seen nothing yet.
    I think the forum virus is getting worse, i need to log in atleast 3-4 times a day. I even got a TV card for computer to ween me of, but doesn't help.

    should hear it... try a turbo guage?... it's not NOS so it's not gonna give you any feeling of Gforce!

        Mine doesn't have one - just the engine check light.

          You don't want the turbo light coming on a 3.0, they only have a fault light. No lights is good news.



          You can't hear the turbo, its tucked down the side of the engine unlike a 2.4 where its on top. There is no noticable turbo lag, they are smooth all the way up the rev range.

              I've never heard the turbo cut in on my 3.0L either. Come to that I didn't ever hear it on my Volvo. But I know it must cut in on the Surf, cos it flys when I floor the pedal (but not too often cos the fuel needle starts to sink too quickly if I do that!!).
