  • About to take the plunge...

and buy my first real 4X4

Looking at purchasing a 1995 LWB 3.0TD in Black - is this the best model?

Any thing I need to know/look for?

Are they FWD or RWD (thought front but read on a post here rear)??

Last question (for now) re chassis numbers what is 'body type' ie KZN 130, 185 or LN176 ?????

    Cheers

There is no SWB Surf, but you can get 2 door trucks, but they are the same wheelbase.

They are RWD, or 4WD when needed.

The 3.0 is the best 2nd gen (89-95), and black is the best colour!

                    LN140 is a 2.4 2nd gen(89-92), KZN130 is a 3.0 2nd gen (93-95), KZN185 is a 3rd gen (96-2000ish... not sure when the mk4 started).

So auto or manual - seen another advertised a little closer to home thats a auto (other was manual)?

Def want black, looks good (just need address for MTV 'pimp my ride' next, lol)

Is there anywhere that shows bhp, torque stats etc for the 3.0 TD?
