I like the general idea, but reckon you should go with another creature, maybe Tiger.

(Yes, I know, no tigers in Africa, should give the wildlife etc paws for thought though )

Yeah go for it, make sure the paint is matt though, it would look way to bling bling if it was gloss. Better still paint it with a 4 inch paint brush - honestly, I think it would look really radical and local that way.

              Cheers

Like the idea of the paint brush.... but I would suggest mixing paint finishes so that you have a random finish of varying shades of Matt and Satin, with a little Gloss... that way it'll work more like a disruption pattern.

If you really want to go mad, some research in the the disruption patterns of the first world war battleships might bring a different perspective.

Trouble is, if you use something like battleship camoflage, you'll probably get some idoit running into the Surf because he couldn't see it!!!

Thanks for all the replies - sorry not to have been back sooner but the internet is a bit "hit and miss" here.

Must admit I was a big Daktari fan as a kid and I couldn't really go for the Tiger look as there is a Landi called "Tigger" crawling around somewhere in the UK. The Zebra job I could do myself which is part of the appeal, plus it is cheap!

I actually did think of putting it on with a 2" brush! But, just to give me the feel", I might just use something that'll come off fairly easily to start with.

My old lady is away in Kenya for two weeks so I am looking to give her a surprise when she gets back! Oh and Rusty, no I haven't sorted the other business out completely yet but I decided to get the vehicle back on the road until I can screw some money out of my shipping agent to buy the new parts - they ain't cheap hey?

Anyway, cheers for the replies guys!

I like it ! But...... Did the insurance company up the premium cause it's classed as "modified paintwork" and not standard ??? Im sure they are trying to find a way !
Atleast you will be excluded from the 4x4 debate as its a zebra ! and not an estate ! LOL

Depends how deep the snorkel goes... but battleship camouflage was only designed to confuse other battleships... so should be pretty safe...

But it could act as a deterant to other traffic...?

Insurance? I can't afford insurance, nobody else has got it so why should I! Anyway, why do you think I went to all the trouble to get all that ground clearance, Rusty's (head) skid plate and the big !!!!-off bullbar?
