  • buying a new surf

Hello everyone,I will be a surf owner soon could anyone tell me if it should have an sva or esva certificate or just an mot it's a1996 ssrx bought from an independant importer

If it is registered in the UK the dvla hangs on to the sva when you register the car

You only need the log book and mot if UK registered

That’s what happened with my two surfs
    TAF

All men make mistakes, but married men find out about them sooner.

I think you will need a sva because the car is under 10 years old. You will not need a esva as i believe this to be for commercial vehicles. Its all depends on whats the vehicle has been registered as. I may be wrong( someone will tell me im sure) but i did a fair amount of research before i bought mine

      cheers

Mine is a 96 model and was given an esva. I believe this has replaced the sva. The government testing station will advise or see
