  • Heavy Item Postage ??

I need to send a heavy item, 70+ kilos

Any advice who to use, or idea of cost for such an item with reference to price per kilo etc...

Some kind of postage rates table would be helpful

    cheers

I use TNT lots and have no problem with them. I once tried DHL and was ripped off badly. and Mr Patel's team could have shifted it quicker.

TNT will pick up as part of the price so it saves you trailing to parcel force. Your best bet is to phone round all the local firms. Shipping seems to be very competative at the moment...

Let us all know when you get a price. My wife weighs about 59 kilos so I should be able to make a calculation based on your 70 kilo price !

They are very reasonable to Europe and the states at the moment.

            Phil.

I seem to remember a story on the news a few months ago, some fool posted himself home in a box to save on the air fare. Having worked at airports all over the UK and Ireland and seen how badly some things are treated, I wouldn't fancy it!!

              try palletways
i work for them and i haven't got a clue on prices!
but they price it on size not weight!
eg. 1/4 pallet, 1/2 pallet, full pallet
pricing all depends on what service you want premium(next day) or economy(2/3 day)

                    hang on a minute, I see an equation here;

Slydog + palletways = big fekkin lorry

Proximity of Fieldsy to Slydog= approx 25 miles

Fieldsy + Parcel + Slydog + big fekkin lorry + a small wad for slydog = Parcel delivered

and my teacher said I'd never be good at maths
