I went to see a surf i was really keen on with the cash in my pocket. It was a black 3.0l ssrx limited exactly the same as the one that i had written off.
I told him I wanted it undersealed , serviced and cam belt changed . Hes said ok. ( i felt i could get more) Asked can he put immobiliser on it too , he said yes (he still seemed calm so i went for more) I said how about a tow bar ,to this he ummmed and aaarhed then i took out the cash ,waved it a little and he smiled and said ok. Then i got greedy and took a few hundred quid off the price and he politely told me to get lost .

Now im gonna have to leave it a few days and then go back.

Hmmm, check he does the work. My Surf had a new MOT yet the bottom shock mounts were worn (at least 15mm of play!) and a cv boot is split....and a caliper seized....
