  • Down in the dumps

Well down in the dumps at work at the moment...and tired due to very little sleep.

Received some bad news last night that my Grandmother had passed away. She was rushed into hospital with pneumonia and by 11.20pm Sunday she had died. She was a grand lady aged 91 [so shes had a great innings] whilst we were ready for it over the past 2-3 years its still a shock.

Heres to a grand lady...hope the wings keep flying Grandma

      Gaz.
Sorry to hear your news m8.There's never a good time but it seems particularily bad round this time of year( lost my Dad 3 years ago on the 9th).
Sounds like you've got a lot of love for her..... Dont worry, she's on her way to the Max Bygraves gig in the sky.
      All the best.
      Keef.
A positive attitude wont solve all your problems but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort!

cheers guys and gals...yeah the bond was strong as I was her only Grandson and was doted on as a youngster...and I just remember all the days from when I was little staying over and playing on the grass lawn and the park near to where she used to live.

oh and playng with the singer sewing machine where you used you feet to push the cast iron foot plate to make the needle go and obviously the accidental sticking of the needle in the finger as you forgot about the footplate and messing about as you shouldn't..

There were 6 children [2 daughters and 4 sons]...of which one was rung late last night in South Africa.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune Keef...thanks for the little smile from the Max Bygraves gig! comments
