  • Emergency Weather Warning

Met Office has issued an Emergency Weather Warning for the North, with 90mph storm force winds, 70mph gusts for the South and blizzard conditions in Scotland.

Anyone seen anything unusual yet? Don't think I'll be needing the chainsaw to get out the village here tomorrow if the wind so far is anything to go by.

It looks like another sleepless night...all I can here is the neighbours gate squeaking on its latch and hinges....nearly ready for kicking the thing in last night/this morning as it woke me up about 3pm

Very windy here in London - not good as we have a noisy sheet over a flat roof blowing away.
Hope its not too bad as I'm off to Newport at 6am

Blowing an absolute gale in Sheffield just had a major power cut halfway through typing out a post, had to start all over again. House alarms going off all over the place I wish people would have there alarm backup batteries replaced once in a while
Laugh!!! I nearly bought my own beer.

I went to my aunts house this evening, opened the door on the Surf to get out and it blew shut. I have just taken Lady for a walk and a gust of wind blew the poor old girl over. A tree on the green in front of our house has blown down. I told the council it was dead ages ago!!

Blowing a hooligan here in Newcastle with sleet. Just chased the fuel cap round Asda's car park, it blew away whilst filling up the Surf. They have dropped the price of unleaded to 76.9, but derv is still the same price at 83.9. Some things in life are just like that.

Derv is still 85.9/L down here. Thank goodness for sunflowers.

Just got in from a night on the p155 & can hardly stand up in the wind (or is that the alcohol :-)

diesel is up to 87.9 in some places round here whereas unleaded is around 79.9

                      Glad I'm not at sea....

SOUTH UTSIRE FORTIES CROMARTY FORTH TYNE DOGGER FISHER GERMAN BIGHT SOUTHWEST 7 TO SEVERE GALE 9 VEERING WEST OR NORTHWEST SEVERE GALE 9 TO VIOLENT STORM 11, PERHAPS HURRICANE FORCE 12 LATER IN FISHER AND GERMAN BIGHT.

Hurricane force 12 is fairly uncommon.

Our bird table has blown over and the dog doo bucket is flying round the garden, not brave enough to go a retrieve it yet.
