Sounds a bit too gadgety for me. Not that I would turn one down when my lottery numbers come up. At least if the first second and, to a certain extent, third gens can be fixed by the road. I wouldn't want to break down in the back of beyond in the 2004 model.
If I could afford it I would certainly go for a model without the optional extra row of seats...less functional as I have used an Isuzu Trooper LWB and whilst able to have extra space for passangers boy does it eat into the luggage area.
But once again looking at the prices after converting to UK it just shows how much the UK buyer is being ripped off.
