  • Insurance Renewal

Yes that annual big bill arrived.

Last year paid £548 with Footman James. Best I could find including European cover and breakdown.
    Renewal quote from F,J £510.

I looked around for a better deal, Lifesure came out cheapest at £446 and Direct Line at £456.

Phoned Footman James to discuss the matter as I like the extras they include, told them about the better quotes and they came back with a revised offer of £459

Safe to say I am still with Footman James.

Goes to show it not only pays to shop around but to also give your insurer a second chance.

and how much they rip you off the first time, amazing as soon as you mention someone else is cheaper they seem to suddenly magic a cheaper quote for you.

Gees.....you full comp???......admitedly I went from a 1.3LXi to a 3.0TD but remember Norwich Union quoting something like 700-800quid and others above!....

7yrs NCD, full comp, aged 33 when took out and nothing on the licence....must see me coming from a mile off

Was pay 364 full comp for the 1.3LXi and as previously stated only paying 609 now for the extra omph! in the engine

footman james have only one problem, they are a broker, but they issue their own certificates/ proof of no claims bonus. this is fine unless you try to change to someone like Esure who wont accept F.J.'s paperwork. ok then, i'll stay with footman!
                it's in me shed, mate.
