marky, i did reply the other night but it seems to have been zapped, what i was on about was not an offroad site and the timing may not be the best but, for the past two years my son and i have attended the international radio controlled rally at raf woodvale near southport, its a huge show put on in early august, its not just radio controlled aircraft and cars and bikes going all day, but is also attended by several car clubs like the jaguar club, the triumph stag club, the morris minor club, ect, ect, and this year there were surfs there, only a few but never the less they were on display, being an raf base there is absolutely loads of space, and the place is kept in tip top condition, the rally does a camping pass for about £30 for the weekend so me, my lad and two mates take the caravan and stay over, the pass includes addmission for two day's, which is about £7:00 each so you can see it's a bargain, and for the last two years wev'e had glorious weather, a barbie and a few brown bottles on the saturday evening and a good time has been had by all, they even have kite flying, which i know would appeal to some members

Sounds cool, but are you sure they let you go off road in Knowsley Safari park? I have been with the kids, and seem to remember having to stick to the route, which is a tarmac track, but I stand to be corrected of course!!

              Off-road in a safari park - that,ll give the bull-bars something to do .
Mind you , I don,t fancy being the one to get the tow rope out & hitch up !

ps you wondered why you haven,t got many takers yet ?

Over 120 views and only 4 interested parties??
A Surf Safari for northerners sounds cool.

At least it would be an alternative to Devils Pit that we seem to constantly hear about.
