  • The Board got a bit broke

    All.

Seems we had a major crash on the board. I have restored the last backup (from the 19th October) so we lost a week. I have a backup that is up to date but I will probably have to manually recover the posts as It crashes if I try to reload it. Seems there is a problem with one of the posts which is bringing the board down.

Lucky I took a backup fairly recently.

Sorry everyone, I will try to recover as much of the last weeks traffic as I can.

    Cheers

              Update.

I'm still trying to recover the posts from last week, however I found a problem with the board setup which was causing the problems - it was all the attachments being stored in the database rather than in a separate file system. This was putting the database over the 100mb limit imposed by the web hosting company (only found that bit of information today). I have now rectified this so we should not have the same problem again.

              Cheers

Is it me or is this board running a lot quicker than it has been for the past week or so?

Should run faster is it is now only about 16mb instead of 130mb - takes less processor time and memory.

                          Cheers
