    Hi All
On the recommendation of Bryan I went into Stephen Eagell Toyota of Beltchley today - no complaints about them , very helpful, but all I want is someone who knows their Surfs to check her over and perhaps locate the irritating rattle for me ( I've taken the garden Fork out of the boot but still it rattles.....). I don't expect "something for nothing" but simply don't have the £300 i was quoted for a major service. They have told me that they will do a free safety check, which I will take them up on but does any of you chaps provide the service I am after if I can get to you?

    Many thanks

    Hi Lou,

Our Surf has just had a clean bill of health ( water pressure etc) from a local garage (in Bedford)

They are the servicing & fixing men for the guy who sells imports (where we bought the last two cars)

Now I can't promise that our car was treated in an unbiassed way because
    a. The garage gets a lot of work from the importer so may like him more than us....
    b. One of the mechanics is Ems step brother

But generally they seem like a good bunch and were already aware of a few common (discussed here) Surf problems ..... and as they're round the corner you could pop in to ours for a cuppa

Wow - Aren't we all nice on here!! Ta for the Offer - Won't be this weekend as I am hopefully going to spend most of it at the Woburn Oyster Festival, although not eating oysters! This weekend I will mostly be drinking Pimms and eating mussels! But thats tomorrow when our neighbours have their turn to drive! I get to do daytime easy stuff - go along it can be a giggle especially if you have to much beer before you go on the dodgems! Last year there were no kids on them just tiddly grown-ups and it was hilarious.
