can anyone tell me what ssrx and double cab mean. Cheers

SSR-X is a level of trim and double cab means 4 seats and a pickup back.

I wouldn't worry about the trim levels, you won't find to the same. Optional extra's are a plenty in Japan and they fit them at will (yes i know whos will)
So you may well find an SSRX with Recaros etc etc

double cab's bigger than a king cab though, cos they only have 2 doors and dinky little seats in the back. (good for chucking big mac wrappers!) (or is it the other way round?) (d'oh!)

You got it right King cab is the 2 door with a bit extra, some manufacturers also refer to their King Cabs as Extra Cabs, just to confuse us all.

Extra cab has a longer wheelbase than double cab or standard single cab but has the same long load bed as a single cab.
