  • General Use Tyres

    Hi All.

I need to put a set of new tyres on my Surf SSR X.

I use it only on the road and have no idea what to get or where to get them!

Can anyone point me in the right direction please ?

Thank you in advance and happy new year all :p

Oh BTW. I am in Nottingham

It all depends on what you want to spend, im using enduro h/t at the minute, ive done 30,000 miles so far & the tread is about half worn so pretty good value for money at £66.70 each.
    take a look on here.

      Hey ya.

      Thanks for the info.

I like that site you suggested and unless anyone else has a better suggestion I think I will go for it.

I especially like that they give free shipping on four tyres (gotta save money where ever we can these days)

      Thanks again

The General Grabbers near the bottom of the page seem decent value.

I take it the truck is a stock 2nd gen?!

          Hi Rod.

          Thanks for the reply.

          It's a 2nd Gen SSR-X.

It has a nice set of alloys but I have no idea if they are factory fitted or after market. :P

www.4site4x4.co.uk may point you towards a local dealer, i got a set of 4 insa turbo mountains fitted for £270.01 all in from one of my local dealers. No complaints with them for road use, they've been great for the price.

              Have a look at http://www.blackcircles.com/

I've not tried them for 4x4 tyres, but they've wiped the floor with everyone else any time I've used them for car tyres. And the price on the site includes delivery, fitting, balancing and carcas diposal.

I've used blackcircles for car tyres too and found them very good.

As I always mention in this section, BF Goodrich Long Trails are very good road tyres that still look a bit rugged.

                  Hi all,
also give Event Tyres a try: http://www.event-tyres.co.uk/
I just bought a set of four Falken Landair A/T's from them for £267 fitted!!
And they're mobile, so they come to you!
I know they're not quite the all road tyre you're after Nottysurf, (they're 50/50 road/ofroad) but they're an awesome bit of rubber, plus, if you ever feel like venturing into a field, you know you've got the boots to do the job.

                  If it ain't sunk.....it ain't junk.
