got khumo`s fitted at mo, not sure if that exact series but no complaints here, they`re very grippy in all weathers, not been serious off roading so cant comment but for wet grass and mud they`re great.
paid £450 for mine including new chrome steel wheels, locking nuts and fitting at nene valley last year.
I ordered a set of 4, 31X10.50 15 Kumho KL71's today from Pemberton Tyres Nr Wigan for £76.96 Each Fitted, Balanced and new valves including VAT, but I can't get there now untill next friday!
I've had the Kumho KL71's on for 3 days and I like them a lot so far, they look dead chunky!
There is barely any extra road noise even at 70MPH and that was with the front and rear windows open. The Truck seems a little firmer on the bends compered to my old Bridgestones that where on it from Japan.
I do have to press the go pedel a bit harder though, because of the extra friction on the road and it struggles to accelerate up the hills compered to the old tyres, but not too bad. I can also tell the the stopping distance has increased, but I think this is because the rolling raidius and centrifugal force is greater!
I haven't had chance to use it in the wet yet but I will let you know what they are like when it rains here.
There is no where around here where I can leagaly go off road so I don't know what they are like in the mud? So if anyone knows where I can try them out localy "Skelmersdale in the North West" and let me know, that would be great.
I havent had chance to take any photo's but I can never seem to up-load them on the furum anyway!!! I will put a photo on "Members Rigs" when I get around to it, as I can up-load pictures on there.
The KL71's grip well in the wet compared to the Bridgestone Dulers I have just took off, some of the pink coloured roads around here are very slippery when wet, so I applied a bit of power on on island and it didn't budge, but I wouldn't like to atack the island at speed but rather apply a little throttle when exiting! The truck stopped well under braking too, but I didn't have to do any sudden stops.
I had a go of driving up a steep mudy grass enbankmeant that was wet, the truck got up there no bother and I didn't even have a run at it.
Now the tyres have bedded in a bit, it seens to have lost it's sluggishness, not unless I have got used to it after a week of driving with the new tyres on?
I have a photo but for some reason I can not upload nor can I edit my "Members Rigs" I can delete stuff but I can not update it! Strange as I have had no trouble in the past???
