Tyers M/T A/T H/T

Hi,
just had my tracking done and one front tyre changed...I still have the Bridgestone Dueller A/Ts on that it came with!
Initially the garage fitted a BFG M/T to my right front, I queried this as all the other tyres are A/T he said it doesn't matter as long as they are the same size!!!
Anyway I gently persuaded him to change the tyre again but this time he has fitted a Bridgestone Dueller H/T and he assures me that having two different tyres on the same axle is fine, I on the other hand am not so sure can anyone help cos I am probably going to swap the new tyre for the spare....

H/T is a street tyre, it'll grip better in the wet that a A/T, might make for some interesting stopping experainces.

You'll probably never notice any problems, but its not a great arraingement technically.

I'd put it on the back if it worries you, and have two matching tyres on the front.

Two different makes of tyres is fine on the same axle, but you've ended up with different types of tyre, a road tyre and an A/T. He's being lazy and fobbing you off. Not very professional IMHO.

I think as money becomes available i will get another H/T and have them on the front. But in the mean time i will swap it with the spare, iv'e sort of got used to the sliding around corners in the wet it makes it interesting especially when carrying passengers who don't know!!!
