  • Roof racks....again!!

I am looking for a full length roof rack for my surf, it has marks on the roof where it has had one before but I can't find one anywhere, or can I fit roof bars to it? Its a 1992 model,
    can anyone help??

Apart from Drilling the roof for roof rails there are no full length bars....

Try www.gttowing.co.uk they do a set of Thule bars that lock on....
I carry ladders and they are fine....
Im not a gynacologist but ill have a look

Someone had this set up ages ago, can't remember who though. It's only fixed over the doors, the back section just rests on the roof.

            You could always go mad...

Its an Eezi-Awn rack and rail kit. It will take a considerable load. There are pictures in previous threads...

              Roof Bars

I have just purchased a 1992 Hilux and it has the roof bars on it (original japaneese type). Do the marks that you talk about have a plastic type film covering on them and are about 2 foot apart?

Is this anything like you are looking for? It was imported on my Surf but I'm now selling it!

                  Ezi- Awn Mounts

Above comment on the Ezi-Awn racks - is this easy to fit yourself? I'm desperate to fit an Ezi-Awn (or similar) roof tent to my Surf but it seems to cost a fortune. Anyone had some experience with this? Thanks

                    Hi
I used the Thule solution plus a sheet of Marine Ply:
