You can get Thule roofbars (listed as 4Runner) and the cycle carriers to fix to them from Halfords. I think they do their own make carriers too which fit the Thule bars, a bit cheaper.
Good luck lifting 3 bikes onto the roof . Get the scratch and chip repair kit while your in Halfods

Well here are a few places to look:
      http://www.roofrackwarehouse.co.uk/c..._mainpage.html
      http://www.pendle-bike.co.uk/
      http://www.roofbox.co.uk/bikeRack1.html

Do you really want a roof rack type? Have you looked at the alternatives? Just wondered cos apart from the awkwardness of getting bikes on the tall roof it can be very expensive if you have to buy the roof bars (maybe £90+) and then the rack or racks too.

Several tow bar type racks available (but not so good with the surf as you wont be able to open rear door properly). Spare wheel mounted ones probably the best if (a) you have a rear-mounted spare and (b) you can find one that takes 3 bikes (not actaully seen any myself).

Sweet, I might get one of those "option1" racks - looks quick/simple and good price too I reckon. Been sort-of-looking for a spare-wheel rack for a while too.

            Bike Rack

I found mine from an ebay seller store, mounts easy and quick on the spare and gets a lot of use, my only coment would be to remove the bikes before swinging the spare out due to the extra load.

The one I got is an "Ohio spare tyre rack 2 bike" from Mark Anthony Bikes Direct Tel: 0870 757 2008/2009 or www.carracksonline.co.uk.

I'm going for a Halfrauds special off Ebay right now, I made the mistake of getting a roof mounted rack (the fancy one that holds the bike by the handlebars and saddle).

May I suggest putting a bike into that on the roof of a surf is added to "It's a knockout" !!!!

Well they have excelled at delivering option #1

Now to work out how to put together this do it yourself plumbing/bondage kit

It's all pipes and straps - I would love to know why I need a 3 metre strap just to go round my spare tyre (waits for comments on the failed diet )
