As a follow up, the aerowing has grown on me & I don,t notice it so much now. As someone with a 2nd gen narrowbody I intended keeping it looking fairly standard without much of the add-ons the Japs seem so fond of ,
but although it looked neat I have found the bonnet/windscreen configuration capable of depositing large volumes of water on the windscreen from relatively shallow puddles (mostly solved by egr front deflector & lashings of rainex ) & the rear screen constantly dirty due to poor airflow - the aerowing & its downdraught has improved this (afterthought) & may even keep some of the exhaust fumes out ?
What with the a-bar & spotlights I,m starting to look like more of a poser than the guy I bought it off!

With the aerowing causing a downdraught, I assume that you can't drive with the rear window open in the rain?

Does anyone know if you can keep the rain out with a factory rear spoiler fitted? from the pictures i have seen it looks like it would.

I've had a surf since the summer - SSRX 2.9 TD '97. It's brilliant but I could do with some roof bars. Ideally I'd prefer to fix roof rails, as I've already got some bars to fit those.
My surf's got two long slots fitted into the roof, down each side, which look like they're supposed to have something like bars or rails which slot into them. Anyone got any idea what they're for, and whether I can get roof bars / rails to fit into these?

Maybe he could do a deal on a job lot of deflectors and then only pay for one lot of taxes.

It,s a U.S. business & when you get your parcel it has an import sticker declaring the value of the goods , so a multiple order has more chance of attracting duty.

Had it on a while now & winter conditions are approaching....Have to say it has proved very ineffective at keeping the rear window clean
