rear window

I've got a 93 surf 3ltr all was good when i bought it but now i cant open or close my rear window with the key, so i have to open and close with the ignition on and use centre console switch but now ive noticed that its starting to have trouble closing when its about 3/4 closed can anybody help me work out what the problem is and what i need to get and where from ?
