sadly my Hilux Surf 3L is for sale

1994/95 Toyota Hilux Surf, 2nd Gen, SSRX 'Special Savana Edition', dark green, works, very reliable.

Good bits

• 185,000 miles so loads of life left
• L reg, 1 previous owner, I imported it direct from 1 careful Japanese owner in 2005 and it's never done any serious off-roading ( I know, sacrilege!)
• 3L diesel auto
• engine usually starts first time
• flew through the MOT last year (something like 1 light bulb and wiper blade)
• 2 keys & immobiliser fobs
• never been in a collision etc
• seats are all fine
• full laser tracking was done last year
• log book available
• alternator and rear exhaust replaced a few years ago
• all 4wd and gear ratios work fine

Bad bits.

• she's 21 now and has definitely been used.
• lacquer has gone on the roof and bonnet.
• bumpers and bull bar are rusty.
• brake pads need replacing
• MOT expires within a few weeks (need to check exactly when) though I suspect only the brakes need sorting to get it through!

It drives fine and has taken me in the past year around wales, devon and the lake district.

I’ve truly no idea what it's worth but I'll chuck a rough guesstimate out there of £1500 - feel free to make an offer, especially if going to a good home!

What exactly do you mean by "usually" starts first time?

ha, yeah - that sounds bad!
As in 90% of the time it starts when you first turn the key rather than it taking a trying for a few seconds. Sometimes if particularly cold or been sitting a few weeks it'll take a few seconds to kick in.

Cam belt I"ll have to check the logs, I can't remember it ever needing replacing but I'm sure it must have been in one of the services.

FYI last day of MOT today so I'm putting it in for one as yes, still available - I'll update the advert accordingly
