Mine for the last 7 years.
Has never failed to start or run, never broken down. Has taken me to London & France without a single problem.
Not used for towing apart from a small Erde trailer.
Used every day for work, not used as a weekend offroader.
Virtually all maintenance has been preventative, as I cannot afford to be off the road in a job where I am responding to customer emergencies.

Rebuild viscous fan & refill with new original Toyota silicone fluid
2 x new alternator belts

5 x new tyres 2009, spare now a bit bald
Coolant flush, change thermostat, rad. cap, new top hose, fit temp. sensor in top hose
2 x new original Toyota batteries 2010
2 x new front brake calipers & hoses + total brake fluid change
Fitted temp. sensor to top (return) hose + temp. gauge: reads 70-74 in winter, 72-78 in summer, regular as clockwork.

240V IP rated power inlet + 10m intake feed lead for charging tools, batteries etc inside vehicle (see picture).
Purpose-built rack can be left for next owner or removed completely in 2 minutes.
Kenlowe 17" thermostatically controlled fan, twin speed with manual override, wired to come on when engine stopped only so as not to interfere with viscous fan.
Replaced alternator January 2014 as although it worked perfectly, the bearings were beginning to rumble slightly, adding to cabin noise, peace now restored.
New handbrake cable & drum rods February 2014
Heating matrix bleed valve added to prevent gurgling when replacing antfreeze mix.
Full diagnostic check & injector refurb September 2013, now drives like new!
New rear wheel cylinders & rear brake shoes January 2014
New handbrake cable & short drum rods February 2014
Both Workshop manuals will also be included: one is the Australian one, the other the Prado one, both of which are required to service & overhaul your Surf.
It obviously has some car park knocks and one dent in passenger door I tried to photograph but wouldn't show up (reversing cow!).
I have the replacement corner bumpers which will be included in the sale.
EVERYTHING WORKS, yes including the HRW, a common source of trouble on these vehicles.
Life hammer, solar charging panel, Spongebob & beekeeping figurine, 4 way 12V charging outlet, tools, & lurcher NOT included in sale.
Some vegoil will be included in the sale. Option to buy my WVO processing plant & centrifuge.
