EDIT: price lowered to £2500, see page 2!
I'm moving abroad with work, and unfortunately i cant take my truck with me.
Its in perfect condition mechanically, doesn't smoke on startup and starts first time straight away.. It has made 2 trips to the french alps and back with out a peep.
Its the very rare Manual model.
However, it is still an 18 year old car, and like all 18 year olds, its stunning to look at but has a few minor negatives that are all listed below. I have taken the truck off road a fair few times, so its not as clean underneath as it used to be, but it has had an underseal coat before getting mucky.
The truck comes with a set of 5 Cooper Discoverer STT 32x11.50x15 Mud and Snow tyres on Deerfield Chrome wheels, all tyres in good condition with plenty of tread.
Also supplied with the truck is another set of 5 BFGoodrich Radial All-Terrain Mud and Snow 31x10.50x15 tyres on Toyota alloys, though one of the tyres has a bulge in it and needs replacing and two of the tyres are brand new last year.
Electric windows
Central locking with 2 keys and TOAD fobs
2 bull bars, a chrome aftermarket bull bar that covers the whole front of the truck (pictured), and a Toyota A-Bar that only covers the middle grill.
2 Off Road lights mounted to the larger bull bar
Tow bar supplied, but not fitted. I can fit it if you like, i just took it off to make parking in London easier.
Chrome side-steps to make it easier for the misses to get in/out
Colour coded bumpers
Recaro Seats
Pioneer DVD player with CD, AM/FM, Auxiliary, USB and iphone connection
Upgraded sound system - Kenwood speakers and Infinity AMP and 2x 1200w subwoofers
Toad Alarm and immobiliser
Spare parts included, as in the picture
Work Done:
I have full service history and parts receipts for all work done from specialist 4x4 dealers. Only kwik-sh** job done is the air conditioning re-gas.
1.5" Body lift to accommodate the big wheels
Upgraded (stiffer) rear suspension to improve handling
Replaced front drive shaft and front diff (diff was damaged when i bought it)
New exhaust in 2012
New steering idler in 2010
new suspension ball joints in 2012
new handbrake cable in 2012
Last service in December 2012 at 124000 miles from TonyN
aircon re-gassed in 2012
Installed a master switch for the subwoofer in the cab as The Long Haired General doesn't like the bass.
Pussy magnet installed in 2005 when imported
Bad bits:
Very limited for a car of its age, but all the bad bits i can think of are below:
rear door electric window is sticky, but still goes up and down with a little help
driver's seat has some wear and tear as per the pic
front left speaker is missing its protective cage, but this doesn't really affect the speaker, the Mrs just needs to be a bit careful
The spare chrome wheel has some corrosion, its hard to notice unless you look directly at it. can be fixed fairly cheaply by re-chroming but has never bothered me.
The ashtray doesn't stay shut when my change is in it. Every time i hit a bump it comes open, but it doesn't drop the change
The rear bumper used to be chrome but was painted over black, some of the rust came through but i treated, filled, primed and repainted.
The spare tyre on the Radial TAs needs replacing
I am based in London, but spend a lot of time in Salisbury if you would like to view the car there.
Cos of the sound system and all the spares i'm looking for £3300 and a quick sale.
Edit: price lowered to £3000
