As everyone says..selling my beloved truck.
1992 J reg 2.4, manual, underslung spare. 186070 km
Just had it through its MOT after being stood over winter. Now running and on the road with 12 months MOT.
HOWEVER..!!! First The bad bit..
After bringing it home the garage says there was a lot of noise coming from the clutch/ gearbox. After researching on here, sounds like the dual mass flywheel on its way out. Noise like a knife and fork in a washing machine..!!
So if you go to buy this, keep that in mind.
After the mot, thats me spent up, I havn't got the room to start dropping gearboxes in the drive, or the money and my wife says it has to go...(sniff)
The Good parts..
Brand new front discs.
Brand new front Calipers
New pads
New Munroe shocks at the back
New brake pipes at the back
TWO new Lucas batteries
(all in the last month)
New windscreen last year
New wiper blades on front
All tyre treads good, rear O/S needs air about once a month. Spare has never been moved from underneath.
No rips or tears in the upholstery
Torino wood steering wheel.
Rubber boot liner
,,back window motor rebuilt and actually works..!!!!
Previous owner had new front bumpers on front.
Mot garage says there is no structural rust underneath, only surface and would still be good for a few years.
Previous owner told me they had a new (?) engine fitted a couple of years ago.
That would make sense as the head seems fine, the coolant isnt pressurising. ( I have a receipt somewhere and when I find it I will post it on here), There is some smoke when hard accelerating up hill, but I have seen a lot worse and there is none on starup.
The Bad parts..
All back bumpers are shot.! Passed MOT ok, but aint pretty.
Drivers door starting to go on inside skin
Few chips on door edges and bits on boot door.
Paw print stickers.( I like 'em )
It will be going on EBAY next week if no interest but hopefully somone here will appreciate it more.
I am mostly looking to get back some of the £500- £600 I have spent out over the last month, with the MOT, batteries etc So will be looking for anything close to..
£900- £990..not much less at all.
Any questions if I have missed any thing please ask.
