I have a 1992 Hi Lux Surf 2.4 Diesel which has just failed its MOT. Having bought a newer 3rd Gen model I can’t use much of the old one for spares so I am taking offers for someone who might want it for spares or repair.
MOT was failed on the following:
Near side front Track rod has excessive play
Nearside front lower suspension arm has excessive play in ball joint
Offside outer front lower suspension arm has excessive play in ball joint
Worn rubber bush in NS and O/S front shock absorbers
Also the NS body work is damaged – front and back doors are damaged, and the rear wing and bumper are also dented. NS running board struts are also bent.
The engine has been excellent since I bought it in 2007 – the glow plugs were replaced a year ago and the batteries are a bit lazy but apart from that it is an excellent runner.
The front wings and bumper have all been replaced in the last year or so. There is also a spare front panel which I have never fitted. Also the rear window motor was replaced last summer.
3 of the tyres are only a few months old. It even has a wooden steering wheel.
Be good for someone to break it for spares so all reasonable offers considered.
