Where about in Scotland are you ?

As I know someone looking for a Surf, although they want a 3ltr for towing, a good 2.4 would be fine.

Has the head been done, and do you know which company brought it into the uk ?

I'm in central scotland. The head has not been done and it was Calder motor company that brought it in.

I have a 1990 2.4 manual (95k on clock) with head done, new cam belt + water pump, recon fuel pump, new front tyres, regular service and oils...coming free early August as importing 3rd gen mid August. I'm in Aberdeen but pass through Blairgowrie regular as mother in law lives there. Drop me a line if interested...scuddy

It's my mother-in-law thats interested and she is trying to find something to pull her caravan better than her 1.9td Volvo .The problem is, she is looking for the holy grail, a bigger motor that pulls better and does not need a deisel tanker to fill it.

I`m actually close to getting rid of mine due to fuel bills, but I`m looking at a big loss and I`m not sure whats worse, the big loss or the continual loss on fuel economy.

I could always flog mine to the mother-in-law
