1995 KZN130 Clicking Starter and alternator not charging(good batteries).

!995 KZN 130 3 litre clicking starter(will engage eventually) and alternator not charging.Has been stood for a while undercover,good batteries fitted.I suspect problems are connected---battery icon showing when running and ATF temperature warning light showing even though it isn't being driven. Please point me in the right direction.

I know that when the alternator is bad, random lights illuminates in the dashboard, I would say fix the alternator first, batteries, and see if all the rest disappear

sounds like alternator to me as well same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago ,got a new one problem fixed
